About Me
I discovered my passion for sports at an early age through athletic competition, particularity in the pool as a swimmer. Through both the rigorous training and the competitive process of swimming, I have been able to learn the core values of dedication, determination, and teamwork, which I continually carry with me today. Thanks to these values, I was able to succeed both in and out of the pool as a high school All-American swimmer and scholar.
When I arrived at the University of Michigan I continued to pursue my passion for sports through my studies in Sport Management. My studies, which center around the business and legal aspects of sport, have helped me develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the industry. Driven by my competitive spirit, I hope to hone these skills and apply my core values in order to one day emerge as an industry leader.
This past summer I interned for the Corporate Partnerships department of the New York Mets. In this position, my duties including assisting the team's sponsors with their game day activations and researching opportunities for new revenue streams. This experience has exposed me to numerous activation methods, and has showed me how to work with sponsors so that the partnership is successful for both parties. I have gained valuable insight on how to succeed while working in the ever-changing sport industry, and am prepared to begin my career following my graduation in May of 2019.
I also have previous work experience as a financial accounting intern for a waste disposal company, where I managed many of the company’s accounts and assets, while also working with the company CPA to produce financial statements. This experience has helped me become extremely detail oriented and has taught me how to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, reading, exercising, golfing, and volunteering as a swim coach for the Grosse Pointe chapter of the Special Olympics. To learn more about me, please continue to explore my portfolio via the tabs above.
